Make a Gratitude Tree. Here’s a visual and very seasonal way for families to list all the things for which they are grateful. Invite families to write down things they are thankful for each day during November on a leaf-shaped piece of brown, gold, orange, red, or yellow construction paper. As the leaves fall off of bushes and trees, find a small branch and place in a clay pot. Attach the leaves each day. By Thanksgiving the family will have a great holiday decoration and a wonderful reminder of what to be grateful for. Look for easy leaf templates in a google search.
